Baglung is the zonal headquarter of Dhaulagiri Zone and district headquarter of Baglung District.

Baglung is a great place to view a range of Himalayas. There are a lot of places near Baglung city that are blessed with natural beauties. 
A number of waterfalls within short range of trekking, range of gorgeous Himalayas, culturally enriched ethnic groups, historically important places, helpful locals and environmentally sound periphery are some of the basic parts (w.r.t. development of tourism) of this region.

Kalika Temple is one of the most popular pilgrimage in baglung. Many pilgrims visit the temple around the year specifically in Dashain and Chaitra Dashain.
Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve at Far Western Side of Baglung (Nepal) is the only hunting reserve in the nation till the date.
